Lawyer E Eric Guirard on His Decision Not to Run for 6th Congressional Seat

Local entertainer at law E Eric Guirard, long rumored as a potential candidate for the 6th Congressional District seat, announced today why he decided not to throw his hat in the ring in time to run for the newly created and highly coveted position.

Guirard, the owner of E Eric Guirard Injury Lawyers, had closely monitored the developments in the upcoming race, and felt it was a long shot for a conservative to carry the gerrymandering district that runs the length of the state. He also felt that his candidacy would have further fragmented voters and led to a runoff at a time when unity was sorely needed.

“For the greater good, it’s crucial not to complicate this race,” said Guirard. “Our state is going to waste enough time sorting out the legality of this new district and my decision to get involved would have dragged things out even further.”

While he firmly believes that the new district was not legally created and does not represent the constituents in the area, Guirard will “let the politicians fight that battle” while he continues his career as a lawyer and entertainer. An avowed “conservapoputarian,” Guirard brings a combination of conservative, populist, and libertarian views to the political table.
